Today I read a story that’s headline promised a set number of “hacks” to beat the instagram algorithm. Knowing this would probably turn out to be clickbait, but never turning down an opportunity to be proven wrong (and learn something for DCM and my clients in the process), I clicked.
Guess what I found out?
Yep, clickbait! The truth is this: There is NO way to “beat” the algorithm. Sure, the article delivered on its promised number of tips, but those tips are not hacks around the system and the misnomer that you can somehow “beat”, “cheat” or “hack” an algorithm is annoying AF.

The wedding took place the afternoon of September 21, 2018 at the Watergate hotel. Because of the perfect day the ceremony and cocktail hour following took place on the roof of the hotel, Top of the Gate.
Suzanne and Greg got married on October 13, 2018 in Old Town Alexandria.
Getting ready was held at The Alexandrian Hotel, Autograph Collection. Suzanne and Greg’s dog served as assistant and best man! The Ceremony and reception was held at the historic Athenaeum.
With wedding season in DC deeply upon us, so is the editing of all those wedding. Now, with digital editing is done in front of a computer not over a trash can like it was with film. The hours spent sitting or standing at my desk means I also need a snack to keep my energy and concentration going.
